For you the definition of "pile of ****" runs wide . Sounds to me that all one needs to do to earn that label from you is to not agree with you, not honor what you claim to be your membership in the elite class and do as we are told to shut up and say publicly that you are of course right. The fact that you consistently refuse to debate ideas even as you demand that we accept your view of things as our own has me labeling you as a pile of ****.

But hey, you are probably too old to grow a pair now, to work to convince rather than compel.

Total ignore only works if everybody puts someone on ignore. Which in a case or two I could get behind, or it requires voting people off the island something I don't want and we will never get to do. I wouldn't mind some sort of jury system to at least remove vile posts or lock threads.

but then you dont know what those you are ignoring say. You might be careful about letting that happen, it can be embarrassing.

Somewhere along the way the elites got lazy and dishonest. It is time to turn the screws. This project of the American republic is not going too swimmingly, we need to make improvements. Revitalizing the combat of ideas is the place to start, those who claim to know need to stop making demands and pronouncements and need to start putting together convincing arguments, with OMG! unbiased evidence.

There is almost no chance that Andrew will make the needed upgrades.

Everybody is the hero of their own narrative. You are in fact a very dull guy with very low intelligence and absolutely whatsoever nothing in the way of wit or humour. those I ignore are ignored for a reason or a series of reasons

one of the main reasons is having absolutely no interest in what those people say

absolutely none

there are a few that I didn't know were still posting til someone referenced them on a general thread - turns out I'd thumbed down the threads they've siloed themselves in - works for everyone - they're not in the general community so no one's even quoting them that I'd see

This site needs a better ignore feature, one where the trolls just stirring up trouble can’t post on your thread if you had them on ignore.

I believe a feature like that would make the site a lot more popular then it is now. It’s kind of dead here now.

If A2K wants to cater to people who lack the self control to ignore what they want to ignore, or to cater to intolerant people, it certainly could do more in that direction. I advise against it. People self select on being here, and A2K should encourage better quality of people being here rather than lessor quality. If you dont like what someone says either ignore them or show why they are wrong, that is how civilized people have conducted themselves forever, we dont need a tech solution because their is no problem that we dont already have the solution to re speech.
