How will the world end?

With a runaway greenhouse effect?
In an alien invasion?
At the hands of intelligent, labor-saving devices we ourselves will create?

The planet will be fine for a few more billion years, I think, then the Sun will expand and burn it to a cinder. The other things may do away with our species, though. Not sure how much of a loss that will be to the planet as a whole. Wink

I really meant "humanity" I guess, not "the world".

There are threats everywhere.

It's possible, for example, that lolcats may get so cute and funny that none of us can turn away from our screens long enough to eat.
