I know coroblatta virginica will do this. I found two whilst cleaning out my room and I didn't have the heart to kill them.
They've had nymphs since then. The nymphs are now 1 1/2 weeks old.
I've fed them a diet of lettuce, tropical fish flakes, oatmeal, potato flakes.
Is this a good diet?

Looks like a pretty fair diet for young cockroaches, but don't forget to socialize them. Take them out, do things with them, offer new experiences.

Why would he mock you? A young roaches brain is a terrible thing to waste. Have you looked into a good preschool?
