@George,
Ah, dear friend, Love Gipsy Kings doing Love and Liberte as well as
Redrigo and Tamacun songs.

Going to say good afternoon with two songs by Perry. I did some
research on that fabulous performer.

. Como died in his sleep on May 12, 2001, at his home in Jupiter Inlet Colony, Florida, six days before his 89th birthday. He was reported to have suffered from symptoms of Alzheimer's disease.

He will love on through his music:

Now, the first one that I heard by him:

From Letty with love to all of her friends.

How have I never heard of Link Wray?
Anyway, thanks for the intro.

It's 50 and drizzly here in Westford,
but I'm sure it must be a lovely day somewhere.

I hadn't heard the Ray Charles version of "I Can See Clearly Now".
He really puts his own stamp on it.

I want to hear Ms. Krall play and sing me a song.

@Letty,
Perry Como's tribute to Bing Crosby was very good!

Here's a song by Steely Dan from their first album.
I like it, but I have to admit I have no idea what the lyrics mean.

@George,
Hope you liked James Brown and Frank Valli, dear friend.

Really enjoyed Steely Dan and that song, dear friend.
Saying good afternoon a bit early.

Looking back with Precious memories:

First, remembering someone who called me Peggy Lee:

I'm broke, but it's not Oke...Smile
Izzie and I first met doing Time in a Bottle

Then when my son died, she called me on the phone crying.

Then, she briefly said: You are my hero and I responded with
You are the wind beneath my wings.

From Letty with love and precious memories to all.

Anyone here remember Sergio Mendes' Scarborough Fair -
a cover of a S&G hit, I believe. A forgotten sixties gem..

@Letty,
I liked that Frankie Valli tribute band, but I like Frankie himself a lot better.

And here's another guy often imitated, but never duplicated.
