Hope your head feels better, Letty.

I can see the sunshine's rays gleaming through the clear waters
Telling me you gotta hop in for this chapter's ride
There will always be better days
There will always be better days
There will always be better days

Last day of the year. So long 2016.

Not much in the way of festivities for us tonight. We'll have some neighbors
in, drink beer, eat pizza and laugh a lot. It'll be fun.

@George,
Ah, dear friend, I jumped ahead a day of New Year's Eve.

Loved The Head and the Heart and Josh doing Long Shadows
as well as Mark Olson and Gary doing that Rose song.

As you know I love roses.

Taking a small break now. Back later, dear friend

@George,
Well, I'm back, dear friend, and once again Beth says Hi to you. Smile

Saying good afternoon a bit early as I have a lot to do in our
Florida radio station.

Remembering happier time again.

I made more money singing on New Year's Eve than I did
all week teaching.

Love Perry Como:

Now, another rose:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xNJpAhfOOBQ

Now, remembering dear Edgar Allan Poe: <sniff>

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8pVi9rDPfQ

We'll never know what happened to him; how strange
and he had bi-polar problems as well.

We used to use champagne to toast the new year, but not now;.

From Letty with love to the new world and the new year. Smile

@Letty,
I loved "Roses of Picardy".

Poe was born in Boston. Here's a statue of him and the raven.

@George,
Welcome back, dear friend. Glad you enjoyed those Roses. Smile

I had forgotten that Poe was born in Boston, and The Raven is
the one that I did on TV.

enjoyed that other lady singing too.l

Here's a woman with a voice like Billie Holiday.
Maybe this will get Robert back with us.

@George,
I bet our George will like these two:

First a song based on a poem by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow:
today is his birthday.

Now a wonderful one by "the man with the velvet voice"

@Letty,
Naomi Clark - Diva was a bit too hip-hop for me.
But I liked the Fifth Dimension.

I love to show visitors to Boston the route taken by Paul Revere and William

@George,
I lost my responses to you, dear friend.

I'll try again and hope they work.

I didn't read The Raven on TV it was at the old radio station in Virginia
where I first met my late husband and Dan Lucas. He had PD.

Hope these three golden oldies work. If they play again, I'm sorry.

First, Queen:

@George,
In spite of it all, I think you're still my friend, George.

This is the last day of the holiday so I think I will say good afternoon
with this lovely hymn:

@Letty,
Catching up . . .
I enjoyed Queen's "My Best Friend".
When I think of Queen, I remember the hilarious "Bohemian Rhapsody" scene
in Wayne's World.
"The Old Lamplighter" was a real change of pace.
James Earl Jones has just the voice for "The Raven".

@Letty,
Not such a beautiful morning here.
I was on the road before daybreak.
Cold and drizzly.
Back to work.
