@Letty,
Yes, you're right. I certainly do like "Chariots of Fire".
The movie came out at a time I was doing a lot of running and road races.

Now I jog.
The fire in my chariot isn't out yet.

@George,
Glad you like the food from that song. I think some of it may have
Been shrimp, but not certain.

Ah, my Mamma loved Bing and Brother Can You Spare a Dime may
have referred to the stock market crash, but I'm not certain.

Well, my long time friend, I need to say good afternoon a bit early
as I was shaken a bit by the cold air here.

First, one I missed by you:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQvKPL5rnLE

Now, another inspiration:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GohBkHaHap8

and I used this to teach at one time:

lyrics:

You ain't been blue, no, no, no
You ain't been blue til you had tha mood indigo
That feelin' goes stealin' down to my shoes
While I sit and sigh, "Go 'long blues".

I think the blues just left. Smile

From Letty with love to everyone here.

@Letty,
I have never heard of Willie the Operatic Whale or the movie "Make Mine
Music". Amazing.

But I do remember "Whale of a Tale". Fun song.

@George,
Love Lucky doing tenderly, dear friend. As you know, I love smooth
jazz.

Well, I think that you will agree that the theme to the movie is far
better than the movie. Smile

@George,
Where did you go, dear friend? Smile

I just saw "nothing but the soul" on one of your recordings and
it reminded me of Art when we were in New York.

Dear Garland Bruce introduced me to this song.

@Letty,
Well, I'm back with a request from my daughter:

Mom, play something by Ray Charles for me.

Hope ehBeth is alright.

Saying good afternoon now with Ray and George.

Here you are, Beth:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=glggureA_Kk

Now, remembering New York again.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tyS1FsUV__8

and, y'all the lyrics:

Lullaby of birdland, that's what I
Always hear when you sigh
Never in my wordland
Could there be ways to reveal
In a phrase how I feel

Have you ever heard two turtle doves
Bill and coo when they love?
That's the kind of magic
Music we make with our lips when we kiss

And there's a weepy old willow
He really knows how to cry
That's how I'd cry on my pillow
If you should tell me farewell and goodbye

Lullaby of birdland whisper low
Kiss me sweet and we'll go
Flyin' high in birdland
High in the sky up above
All because we're in love

From Letty with that same love to
the world.
