@edgarblythe,
Welcome back, Mr. Creator, and thanks for you comment on Sam. (poor guy)

Yep, you're right about the scene from the Titanic, but when I showed it go my students, I explained why they did and that I simply wanted to celebrate The Wright Brothers.

Love Harry doing My Lord, and it reminded me of another Beatle gone to soon:

and it reminded me of this Lord.

Ah, my long time friend from England, thanks so much for playing Marvin Gaye's I Heard it through the Grapevine. Love it!

Saying good afternoon now with a "precious memory."

I'll never know who blocked me from getting into our radio station here, by saying "you're not welcome here."

Then, my dear friend Filipe said, "you are always welcome here. " Smile then I recall him having sent me a message in which I saw Rudolph Valentino, and that reminded me of edgar's having reminded me of Lefty doing this one:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=50k18gL76AU

I think we all know that the lady was putting a flower on Rudolph's grave.

How wonderful it is to have such fantastic friends.

@Letty,
Hello all you radio peeps.
I thought of this song this morning when I was waking.
It's from a simpler time. Maybe it's a Lieber and Stoller opus.
I like them.

@edgarblythe,
Ah, Mr. Creator, thanks for your comments on those two songs, and Hotel Happiness by Brooke was really good.

I remember so long ago before I had eye surgery hearing this song:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gdRs9osxAkg

and what a shock to find out that The Crimean War was about Florince Nightingale the rose of Noman's Land.

I miss Latin George, he told me so long ago that Collin no longer fenced but was rock climbing.

Maybe "the boss" will get him back, y'all.

@edgarblythe,
Ah, Mr. Creator, as you know I love Bobby Darin and his doing Rainbow on My Shoulder was great.

It seems to be National Park Day today and it reminded me of this golden oldie by Perry Como with friends.

@edgarblythe,
I love Magic Moments by Perry, Mr. Creator. I once said that if I could compare a vocalist and a poet, it would be Robert Browning and Perry.

Saying good afternoon now with two wonderful song. One a secular, and the other a beautiful hymn.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oPK7ZF6jfJE

Now our hymn:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xc2kxKn_sao

What a wonderful thing that they are celebrating the end of WW II. Smile

From Letty with love to all of my friends wherever they are.

I liked that song by Manhattan Transfer, and it reminded me of happy hours spent listening to Singers Unlimited. Masters of the recording studio. I love and admire their sound.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V8NNksodNQA

Which reminds me of the earlier work of Ray Coniff . So much good schmalzy singing...to be enjoyed over a glass or two of you favourite tipple. Mine's a whisky, thanks.
