@edgarblythe,
Welcome back, Mr. Creator and thanks again for your comments. Loved Jeannie doing The Harper Valley PTA. Smile

Now, another great memory:

I did this one by Johnny, and although you did the song by Joan Baez, here's another version.

First, The Raven set to music:

Tom Waits - Blue Valentines
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dfQ7ieF7w4Y&nohtml5

She sends me blue valentines
Like half-forgotten dreams
Like a pebble in my shoe
As I walk these streets
And the ghost of your memory
Baby, it's the thistle in the kiss
It's the burglar that can break a rose's neck
It's the tatooed broken promise
I gotta hide beneath my sleeve
I'm gona see you every time I turn my back

@Olivier5,
While Tom Waits, Letty waits for my Roman friend to comment on what we play here. Smile

Blue Valentines was a good one, and it reminds me of Peggy Lee:

Well, I'm going to say good afternoon with two songs.

As edgar knows, the first time I met Mickey Rooney was when he was Puck
in a Mid Summer Night's Dream, by Shakespeare.

Here is the basic plot.

Now, the theme that captivated me.

From Letty with love to everyone here.

Good morning from our Florida radio station.

tsar, my long time friend, love Florence and the Machine doing Shake it Out. Later on, I'll play a funny one to match your shake. Smile

Ah, I was hoping my long time friend McTag would be here as I once told him when I found out that MacBeth was Scottish he should change his name to MacBeth.Smile

Here's the trailer:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oyFAn5IaFS0

Now, a short plot:

Macbeth is a play of contradiction and ambition. Driven to becoming King, Macbeth will kill all and any that get in his way. He puts his faith in the words and prophesies of three witches, after their first one (that he will become Thane of Cawdor) comes through and is instrumental in
Macbeth's ambition, egging him on when he fears he has gone too far, and scheming of greatness.

Now, a funny one to match our tsar's shake it out:

Although I know him best for Long Tall Sally, this one is hilarious:

Just a personal anecdote. This is talk radio as well.

First, I stay with our radio because I can no longer do pictures. Also I have responded to many of the other threads and I no longer go to them.

Having some sound problems in our station, so I hope all of you here
will keep us going.

Thanks in advance.

@Letty,
Ah ah...

I don't talk much, Letty. Sorry about that.

So here's a little annecdote about "Blue Valentines" -- in case anyone's interested which I doubt... My younger sister was for three or four years the girlfriend of the lead singer and guitar of this band:

They chose their name based on the Tom Waits album, OF COURSE. And OF COURSE they did a cover of "Blue Valentines":

It's a dark and sultry day, here in Tomball. But I do fine with a ceiling fan.

Anyone here ever hear from Miss Izzie of the Yabber liner?

I'm concerned about that delightful lady. (N.C.)

Sorry that I can't do music, y'all, but here's a brief poem concerning George Washington whose birthday is today:

George Washington, George Washington,

He was the first president.

He helped the colonies be free.

He helped get rid of the mean old king.

George Washington, George Washington,

The Father of our country.

From Letty with love to all of my friends.

I guess no one here can answer my question about N.C. <sniff>

Good morning from a sunny radio station in Florida.

Hurry back, Mr. Creator and I loved Sarah doing I'll Be Loving You Eternally.

Finally got my music back, y'all. I pulled the wrong rope out of the socket.Smile

I awakened in the middle of the night last evening and thought of Billy Joel.
He is fantastic and this is the first one that I heard by him:
