The children treat Boo with as much prejudice as the town shows Tom Robinson. They assign characteristics to Boo without validation; they want to see Boo, not as their neighbor, but as a carnival-freak-show-type curiosity. Ironically, watching the injustice that Tom suffers helps the children understand why Boo may choose to be a recluse: "'it's because he wants to stay inside.'
G'Day Miss Letty,
Delighted to hear you've got sunshine knocking at your door.
Loved your Mocking birds, my Mother always warned me ''mocking is catching''.
As yesterday I'll start with Clint Mansell, there's a beautiful bird in this wonderful video.
I am of course referring to the parrot.
Ah, my dear Irish friend, I love those visuals and Death is the Road to Awe was fantastic. I always appreciate your comments, dear friend.
Somehow, the leopard caught my eye just as the parrot caught yours.\
Many folks didn't like Disney, but I loved his animal movies. Here's The Song of the South. (his Mamma dreamed of polka dots and that's how the leopard got his spots)
(This is how it works:
You're young until you're not
You love until you don't
You try until you can't
You laugh until you cry
You cry until you laugh
And everyone must breathe
Until their dying breath.
No, THIS is how it works:
You peer inside yourself
You take the things you like
And try to love the things you took
And then you take that love you made
And stick it into some...
Someone else's heart
Pumping someone else's blood
And walking arm in arm
You hope it don't get harmed
But even if it does
You'll just do it all again...)

@Letty,
I have not seen that one 'The Song of the South' surprisingly. Nice tune.
Regina Ilyinichna Spektor is an American singer-songwriter and pianist. Her music is associated with the anti-folk scene centered on New York City's East Village.
Regina was fantastic with that piano and instrumental group. Even if you did play it before, it's worth listening to again.
euroGeorge, Summer in Siam was great and I loved the visuals.
Two songs now:
First, a birthday man who is a great country singer:What a fantastic bass voice he has.
Ah, my Irish friend, I tried to find the one with Peggy holding the cats, but no luck.
You sent me searching, Euro:
John Murphy (born 4 March 1965) is an English film composer. He is a self-taught multi-instrumental musician who began his career in the 1980s working notably with The Lotus Eaters, Thomas Lang, Gary Wall and Claudia Brücken. Since the beginning of his career he has collaborated numerous times with several directors, mainly Vadim Jean and Danny Boyle. He has received praise through the years and some of his awards include the Silver Award (1st Prize) at the Cannes Film Festival, a British D&AD Award, and a BMI Award.
The Surface of the Sun was fantastic.
Which reminds me of something else we'll never know: Did the Americans really land on the moon?
Ah, poor John Denver. I think most of us know he is referring to Pot. Sad.
Now, the lyrics that I awakened one morning that were stuck in my head:
I sing because
I'm happy
I sing because
I'm free
His eye is on the sparrow
I know he watches me.
Still practicing to get my vocal chords to work.
Wonderful having England, France, and Ireland with us today.
From Letty with love to the world

Bonnie Raitt's earliest recording of one of the most touching songs. This is sung with such an intimate expression...and genuine feeling. Accompanied by the famous LA (and her) sideman, Freebo. Oddly, this Youtube clip is repeated and is the same as the first one.
Listen for yourself:
Here's the newer Live recording version. So amazingly beautiful...with Crosby and Nash:

Morning All. Last excerpt from Punch dated 8th January
Quote:
OUR WINTER GARDEN
COVENT Garden of course and the Circus. The Clowns and the LAVATER LEE Musical Familiy are very droll: as also is FELIX - happy name, - especially when he is trying to catch the butterfly. Among the fair ladies of the troupe, we should be inclined to give equal prizes to Mlle. AMALIA DE RENZ in her leaping pirouette acts, and Mlle. ROSITA on a barebacked steed. But the Big Man and the clever performing Pig are the hits of the entertainment. The latter is especially, that is pig-culiarly, amusing, and where all is so attractive in the Horse-Show provided by Messrs. DOUGLAS COX and HENRY -(why didn't COX get BOX to join him?)- this is saying a deal.

Covent Garden (/ˈkɒvənt/) is a district in London on the eastern fringes of the West End, between St. Martin's Lane and Drury Lane. It is associated with the former fruit and vegetable market in the central square, now a popular shopping and tourist site, and the Royal Opera House, which is also known as "Covent Garden". The district is divided by the main thoroughfare of Long Acre, north of which is given over to independent shops centred on Neal's Yard and Seven Dials, while the south contains the central square with its street performers and most of the elegant buildings, theatres and entertainment facilities, including the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, and the London Transport Museum.
Good morning from a rather foggy day here in our Florida radio station.
Ragman, My favorite version of Bonnie's song was the one with Crosby and Nash. As you know, you are my favorite photographer.
Izz with a y, I took a look at Convent Garden in London, and it was beautiful with those brick and cobblestone streets.
edgar, Love the history of Unchained Melody by Alex, Roy, and Al. Oddly, it disappeared but I listened before it did. I used music to teach history as you know.
Well, y'all, today is Woden's day and it reminded me of the hammer man, John Henry. So long ago we saw his statue while driving through the Big Bend Tunnel.
