Another golden oldie:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rxSPZD7kZY4

Lyrics:

Oh, sweet and lovely
Lady be good
Oh lady be good to me
I am so awfully misunderstood
So lady be good, to me
Oh, please have some pity
I'm all alone in this big city
I tell you I'm just
A lonesome babe in the wood
So lady be good to me

I get up every morning and look at my friends from the cocoa gathering:

Rae, Stephan and Ursula, Roger, "the diary man". (can't remember his name)

Mismi, Diane and Bernice.

Although I have never met Bert and Tsar from Brooklyn, but I feel that I have via their music. Smile

@tsarstepan,
Ah, my long time friend tsar is back with us. Love Mark and Narja doing that fiddling. Smile

Going to say good afternoon with two songs.

First, one that I heard on my way to Tennessee to see my Dave who was in the hospital there.

Now a great one by Manhattan Transfer.

@edgarblythe,
Hey, Mr. Creator, thanks for the comment and personal acknowledgement.

That one by the jester was hilarious. Wonder if he got his photo on one of them. Smile

Rap, rap, rap, the call Joyce the rapper. A funny tribute to a birthday man.

Morning, letty.
I am a fan of both Ulysses.
I felt empathy with Joyce, the first time I read him. I started with his Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man. Ulysses was hard reading, but I liked the story line and was fascinated with his use of language.

@edgarblythe,
Ah, Mr. Creator, as you know I love Alfred Lord Tennyson, and although my tribute was a parody, it doesn't harm his reality.

I recall that Setanta loved his one, and I recall having told him:

Who is that Pilot?

Today is Ayn Rand's birthday. I used to use television all the time to teach my students.

Here is Atlas Shrugged

http://www.imdb.com/video/imdb/vi1476439065

The theme of Atlas Shrugged, as Rand described it, is "the role of man's mind in existence". The book explores a number of philosophical themes from which Rand would subsequently develop Objectivism.In doing so, it expresses the advocacy of reason, individualism, capitalism, and the failures of governmental coercion.

Frankly, I never quite got it!

@edgarblythe,
Ah, Mr. creator, my Mamma loved the Sons of the Pioneers. Johnny Cash also did that one as well.

Remembering Kipling's Jungle books, I sought out the originals with SaBu:

@edgarblythe,
Ah, dear Elvis, Mr. Creator. Fame and Fortune I didn't know, however.

I miss Izzie the Pushman. He was one of my long time friends from England.

The last one he did here was by Bob Marley.

Hope ALL my friends will be here.

Back later

Going to say good afternoon with two versions of Elvis' song, and what a surprise to find out that "the boss" did it as well.

First, "the king":

That's a great song, letty.

I just discovered Buffy Sainte-Marie is nominated for three awards in Canada. Two of them are for the album with this song on it

Good chilly morning from our Florida radio station.

Ah, Mr. Creator, thanks for your comment on Elvis and "the boss". I really love Buffy (Canadian cree) doing that song. I have always been fascinated with Indians with feathers.

Good to see you back, tsar.

Three songs for the morning here.

First a birthday artist:
