Hey, Letty, I love Django Reinhart. I didn't know anything about him until my
son gave me a CD for Christmas. Bang! Instant fan.

@izzythepush,
Welcome back, push man. Loved exodus by Mr. Dred locks. As you know, I like reggae as well.

Well, it's Sunday here in our Florida radio station and I recall having awakened one night with this one in my mind.

Calling all poetry and music lovers. Where are you hiding? Smile

Love this poem:

Dreams - Poem by Langston Hughes
Hold fast to dreams
For if dreams die
Life is a broken-winged bird
That cannot fly.
Hold fast to dreams
For when dreams go
Life is a barren field
Frozen with snow.

@tsarstepan,
Ah, my dear friend tsar. Love that song by the Punch Brothers. As you know I love string instruments.

Going to say good afternoon now as I not feeling too well.

Three songs:

First, a golden oldie by a man whose birthday is in September:

Al Jolson did that one as well.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o3kH7O6msZ8

Reminds me of Olivier 5.

Now, Phil Collins. (had no idea that he was British)

and, for my long time friend Roger:

The Boston Sunday Globe did an interview with Judy Collins.

Q. You’re credited with discovering Leonard Cohen. How’d that happen?

A. He came to see me in 1966. I knew about him from a friend who talked
about a poet from Canada she went to school with. He came to my apartment
on 79th Street; he knocked on the door, and I opened it and thought: “Well, I
don’t care if he can’t write songs!” [Laughs] He sang me “Suzanne” and
“Dress Rehearsal Rag” and “The Stranger Song.” . . . I fell in love with them. I
don’t presume to know why they’re great songs, but of course they’re great.

Q. What did you think of “Suite: Judy Blue Eyes” that Stephen Stills wrote
for you?

A. We [had broken up] and he wrote it to get me back, but it didn’t work.
[Laughs] It’s a great song; I was amazed to hear it. We’ve remained friends.
