There are many activities today.
Form question to ask about many activities by using What
What are there today?
Or
What is there today?
@maisoon,

I think "what" is number-neutral. "What is there today?" would be the more frequently occurring and acceptable option.
We can use "what" even when we know that the referent is going to be plural. "What is in that stew?" (We know there's more than one ingredient.)
