@plainoldme,
I think his problem is that he's a conservative. That short circuits the thinking process.

IT is amazing how much enjoyment can be gotten from watching certain people fall!

This guy is getting what he so richly deserves.

@plainoldme,
In all fairness, the fact that this guy was a dimwit as a retail sales CEO is hardly Ayn Rand's fault. Reading the 'salon' link I get the distinct impression that his use of a Randian technique in retail management was a direct result of poor reading comprehension skills.

Me too!! But--I also understand how having one's freedom curtailed can affect you...she's a product of her environment ...right or wrong...

@Lustig Andrei,
I have no love for Ayn, you understand. It's just that the connection between her writing and Eddie Lampert's incompetence is, imo, tenuous at best.

@Lustig Andrei,
Touche! According to Scholastic Press, 50% of Americans read on the 8th grade level. My daughter told me that the Bureau of the Census gives a higher percentage. I wonder how these people graduated from high school, but, considering how little people read today, there is nothing to wonder about.

@geewillakers,
There have been some studies demonstrating how people on right are more likely to be persuaded by emotions than by facts. My youngest brother no longer speaks to me, which is something of a relief because he became a screaming fundamentalist and a rabid right winger. He unfriended me on FB and two of my kids as well. He did not unfriend the third who wishes he would.
