Reply Sun 30 May, 2004 07:24 pm
I hope no one has done one of these already and im sorry if he/she has!

Simple: just post the longest palindrome you know/find.

Palindrome : A word/phrase spelled the same backwards and forwards.

My longest:

Go hang a salami im a lasagna hog.

[Supposedly that palindrome was partially computer-generated.]

When it comes to palindromes, I am an AVID DIVA.

I still think a man, a plan, a canal - Panama! is the best.

This one is Roman, supposedly describing the action of moths:
In girum imus nocte et consumimur igni
(We enter the circle at night and are consumed by fire)

Know/find, brimstone. It was all from the net, hence 'found'. Palindromes are fun to read, but they are boring to write.

"Are we not drawn onward, we few, drawn onward to new era?"

I read in an old Guinness Book of Records that someone once made a 65,000-word palindromic composition. It went "Al! Sign it 'Lover' .................................. revolting, Isla."
