I think they make a great duet...surprisingly so!

@Germlat,
It was my feeble attempt at humor. Frankly, your English is just fine.

@Germlat,
I do mean sincerely your English is good. If it weren't for the various clues that I get from the threads in which you participate, I'd never know that it isn't your first language.

@Germlat,
Furthermore, your comments are notable enough that I tend to look for them in a thread to see where you weigh in. In general, I tend to agree or sympathize with your point-of-view.

Now you should be concerned. Twisted Evil

I'm good to go. What 'd do you think of Lady Gaga and Bennet as a duo? I think at this moment in time, the world is confounded . This was a feat, formerly only attempted by Buble, Harry Connick Jr...new territory for a female....I think.

@Germlat,
I frankly don't care for Lady Gaga. Perhaps, it's because I don't like her particular style, as opposed to her voice (which IMHO is OK). She employs too much vibrato. Her voice hasn't much assertion...a bit thin. For example, back in time, Eartha Kitt used to use tons of vibrato in her singing, but had an amazing delivery and was the most appealing lady.

What I applaud is Tony's embracing of the current generation of singers. He is brilliant and should forever be in the pantheon of the best singers in the last 60 years, regardless of genre or style or style changes.

@Ragman,
So...few artists attempt to bridge or even acknowledge another generation's contribution ( particularly when so far removed)...That's why I like her. "Lady is a Tramp" was my favorite. Of course she's no Etta or Ella then, there were of their own time. I do like Michael Buble ( don't compare to Sinatra...Bitte!). I think I love the idea of keeping great sounds alive, and paying homage to others.
