Found small skull

I dug up a small skull and bones about 6 feet deep in the sand on ground that has never been cleared. It has 2 large teeth side by side( like a beaver but smaller) and about 10 small teeth on each side. The skull is about 4 inches long and 1.5 inches wide. Any ideas?

A photo would help. Do you have a photo you could post?

It might be a Muskrat, or maybe a young Beaver.

Are the 10 smaller teeth right next to the large front teeth, or are they set back deeper in the mouth and away from the two front teeth?
