Our dog killed a rat this weekend, and we watched as six of these approximately 1 inch in length crawled out of the rat moments latter. We are trying to determine what this is, and if there is any concern for our animals considering how infested the rat was. This is the fourth rodent this month our animals have killed like this.

Picture would help.
But you should still consult a vet.

If they crawled, the parasites are probably helminths and they can infect your pets.

But, yes, a picture would help.
