This game involves taking 2 film or book titles and combining them in a brilliant new blockbuster, with a short review. My cousin belongs to a forum called Abebooks and they have come up with some brilliant ones!
Her first two were:
2001 Dalmatians - several years on, the great-great-grandchildren.
Brief Encounters of the Third Kind - A woman gets something in her eye, and an alien offers her his handkerchief.
And the sequel, Pride and Punishment - more heroines, more faults, and an unhappy ending!
I can see it already. Lydia is sent to prison for killing an old woman to whom she and Wickham owed plenty of money.
The Hitchhiker's guide to A Room of One's Own: a hi-sci-fi film about life, the universe, and authoresses.
Independence Day of the Triffids - the one with the unhappy ending
Lethal Weapon and Sensibility - Drama where the police think before killing everyone.
Fiddler on the Floss: Singing Yiddishers intricately combined with nineteen century intrigue: the definition of catharsis.
Cheaper by the Dirty Dozen
The Trouble with Harry Potter (he's dead, that's the trouble...)
The Unbearable Lightness of Being There (Chance goes to Prauge)
Dinner with the Creature from the Black Lagoon
Louis Malle directs Richard Denning and Wallace Shawn's efforts to get Andre Gregory to try a new dish..
Wuthering Pulp:
Heathcliff's back: and this time, he has a gun.
When Dirty Harry Met Sally:
X Rated tale of love and murder.
Raiders of the Lost Horizon
Movie adventure with Harrison Ford flying planes in the Himalayas in search of a really cold beer.
It Happened One Night to Remember.
The Eyre Jar:
Chilling story of a poor governess drawn to insanity by her perfectionism.
Gone with the Wind in the Willows Rhetty and Mole in the Mississippi
On the mill on the floss-- a psychadelic trip across rural England leads to a war for drugs and parenthood.
Major Barbarella - Shaw in cartoon form
Die Another Day after Tomorrow - Bond disaster
Strictly Back To The Future Ballroom - Bruce Forsyth gets to dance with himself and wins an Olympic Gold.
The Sixth Sense of The Perfect STorm--The guys who drown are seen by this kid who relates their story to the relatives in a bar
Finding Forrester in The Valley of Gwangi--This kid is really good at writing stories about dinosaurs, and he disappears frequently to find fresh material.
The Firm Runs Through It
tedious law drama set in small backwoods place with dysfunctional families starring
