the STRANGEST thing:
I can freely post on A2K, back n forth,
but I cannot access Yahoo (for email) nor can I access Google
That means that I 'm connected to the Internet,
without being able to contact either of them.
I find it hard to believe that both Yahoo and Google
have been down since last nite. I can t believe that.

@OmSigDAVID,
What I do, is power down my pc etc, wait 15 seconds, turn it back on
@OmSigDAVID,
They're not. Try opening up new tabs on your browser or perhaps restarting.

I tried typing Yahoo.com into my browser typing area for addresses: failure. It just tries n then
tells me that the page is not available.
The same story with Google.
I 'll try re-starting.
@Butrflynet,
NO, I love my huge iMac, and I don t smoke.

Re-starting worked. I 've got them both back.
Is it possible to have too many tabs open?
Can that cause loss of contact with some ?
@OmSigDAVID,
The number of tabs shouldn't matter, but I will tell you that I've sometimes had what seem to be malformed tabs, where nothing seems to work. Rebooting or at least shutting down my browser and then restarting it usually clears that up.

Re-booting worked successfully last nite.
I don t know HOW to shut down my browser.
Thanks for your advice.

@OmSigDAVID,
I mean to just quit the application. Hit alt-f4 if you aren't sure; that will also work to quit any application.
