Here's a picture of a coca plant my mother in law gave me. It's doing nicely with new little leaves. "A" plant is not ilegal here but large acreages filled with them are something else. I'll try chewing the leaves when it grows big enough.
I doubt there is any harm in chewing the leaves at all. Are you at a high altitude down there. I've heard they relieve the symptoms of altitude sickness.
Cali is at a pretty low altitude really. I might never chew the leaves. I heard you have to chew them with lime which sounds very un appealing.
I have a giant opium poppy field in my backyard. I just like the flowers, I had no idea that it was illegal to grow so many. Should I bulldoze it and fire the Afghani gardener? I would agree, coca leaves and lime sounds pretty horrid.
lime the fruit, right?
Do you really, Cav? We can't legally grow any here. I think.
Well, no, littlek, I live in an apartment.
Pitter - there's good money in eradicating illegal drugs too. The US Govt gives it away to folks who say that they'll do exactly that - they're also pretty lax about checking up on the results.
LOL! I doubt the odd leaf will hurt!
