Feral Cats

That's tough. Has anyone tried to speak with your local animal humane society? I would be concerned about them capturing them and then destroying them. Is there a "no-kill" shelter in your area, they could probably give you good advice. The ideal situation would be to have some one experienced at catching these cats so they can have them fixed. I am always torn about feeding or not feeding them as by feeding them, they are more likely to reproduce, but by not feeding them, do they have a worse outcome - starving?

Thank you Linkat I will see if I can find a "no-kill" shelter to help round them up. I would adopt them all if I could but I already have a dog and a cat.

I am new to Dallas and have never seen anything quite like this. Some of them are really beautiful.

Genuine feral cats are wild and cannot be domesticated for adoption. Cats have only a thin coating of civilization and if, as kittens, they are raised without people they will never adjust to two-species family life.

Perhaps the local humane society can help you find a vet who would neuter them at a bargain price?
