Montana- But you haven't ALWAYS lived with mom!
that's true Phoenix and I'm living with mom by both our choices.
So.... should I move out?
Is that what you people are telling me?
No way Gus. Stick around.
Yes - we know where you are, Gus.
That is good.

why don't you discuss it with your mom?.........Eva!
17 when I went away to school. 22 when I got my first apartment.
oop, montana, i did read that, but it went out the other ear, apologies... aren't you formerly gezzie? and, like pheonix said, you did leave...
gustav, i thought you left you're sweet mum crying behind in the black hills? was that a lie to get some attention?
You mean like cut all the strings? even though I went away to College and returned home the first to summers - I'd say then like 20. But now the cool or ironic - when I headed off to College the folks moved within a week of me leaving home.
don't be silly Gala;
men don't 'lie' to get attention.
bogo, what i really wated to do was call gustav and is trail of " i miss my mamma so" tears a lying sack of ****, but i didn't thiink that would be ladylike of me.
You're a pretty serious kind of gal, aren't ya, Gala.
I was 15 when I first left - for three months on an exchange.
I was 18 the first time I left for my own "place". Spent most summers there until I was 22...that was the last time I "lived" there. Oh I miss it sometimes. What a great nest it is.
My avatar is one of the first, if not THE first photo, taken after I left the nest:
Finished school with 20, was drawn to the navy then ... and never really returned home from that time onwards. (I'm now daily there, taking care of my mom, but I don't live there ... and never will - that's why I choose the navy  )
I traded one nest for another to start my junior year (grade 11) of high school. I had just turned 16. We only got a week at Christmas and 3 weeks in the summer, so it really was like leaving home. On the other hand, life was so regular that it was not like "being on your own."
I returned for a few years when I was 27, then left to get married and build my own nest.
18. Never looked back and never lived under their roof again.
left at 13. got caught and sent back home. left at 15. got caught and sent to live with relatives....left at 17...they got tired of going after me.......
I was actually literally left on my own from about the age of seven, although I shared an apartment with my mother and we hung out some, but I had absolutely no formal upbringing at all......made it up as I went along.....by the time I was sent to relatives (as opposed to reform school for a juvenile indiscretion of some seriousness) it was way to late for me to adjust to any sort of "normal" routine...the die was cast.......
