I left 2 months after grad, was 17! And you?
I was a sheltered baby of 17 when I left my small country town to study in the big, bad city! FREEDOM! YAY!
I was 17 when I went to college, but I returned home for summers until the one before my last year. Then, I rented through my last semester and stayed out on my own after that. So.... I was 21...?
Went to college at 17, returned home for two summers, then got married and left for good at 19.
as soon as i realized what that horrible stench was..........
(bird ****!)
Please elaborate, BoGoWo.
We were ALL 17 when we left!!!!
Babies, mere babies! <sniff>
But wasn't it good?
I started out a year later than all of you, at 18. Like a fool I kept going back when ever Mom claimed to need me. After Dad had to be institutionalized I moved in with Mom for 15 years. Then 2 and a half years of freedom in San Antonio and back home (?) to be with her while she was in the last stages of cancer. Free at last!

I was 12 or so, scared the bejesus out of me (literally).
I was... you've guessed it... 17, almost 18. I was badly treated-- and still am, whenever I have to go back-- and so left to Oxford in the middle of the night. I went around Europe, blagging accomodation from everyone I knew or half-knew, until I entered University four months later.
17 for me - ran right into a terrible marriage and found out home was not so bad after all.
I was 19. My father died when I was 21, so I went back to live with mom. Stayed with her for a year, then moved in with my ex for 5 years, then back in with mom where I've been ever since. My mother is an easy person to live with and since we're both alone, it works out well for both of us. My 17 year old son also lives with us.
16 the first time and 28 the second time.
this thread is kind of funny. do you think anyone is going to write in to say they're 30 and still living at with their parents?
I already did. I'm 40 and still live with mom.
I never knew I was supposed to move out.
Why am I always the last to find out these things?
