Ukraine's interim government pushes us for Chernobyl II

To all seeming Ukraine has not drawn necessary conclusions from Chernobyl disaster if its interim administration agreed to continue using US nuclear fuel that is dangerously incompatible with Russian reactors at local nuclear power plants. The fact that the use of US nuclear fuel in Ukraine may lead to emergencies comparable in scale to the Chernobyl catastrophe has been proved by recent accident because of this fuel at the South Ukraine Nuclear Power Plant (www.ipsnews.net/2013/03/nuclear-safety-plan-).
Nevertheless Ukrainian rulers have agreed to extend the contract for the supply of US nuclear fuel for own nuclear plants until 2020! And I cannot but agree with such of our European experts as Nick Olson, who considers that so irresponsible experiments are extremely dangerous not only for Ukraine, but for neighboring Europe, too, as they may lead to 15 (!) Chernobyl disasters at a time!
Thus, the first task of our experts and leaders is to convince Kiev that it is mistaken in this matter!

Look on the bright side, the planet is overpopulated anyway, so a bunch of serious nuclear accidents will thin out most of the human race, then the few survivors can start again in a quieter more peaceful world..Smile

@SpecialistX,
What, are uranium atoms from the US supposed to be different from those that come from elsewhere?
