I need an educated definition for a complete spinal cord injury and incomplete spinal cord injury. Include fine medical terminology, please! It's for part of an important paper!

Complete means the person is most likely a quadriplegic, however, that is not always the case. If damage is incomplete, then some extremities are still functional. This is according to my wife who has 28 years experience as a medical secretary, 9 years of it in neurology. Neurosurgery is the specialty that deals with such matters, not neurology, in Florida where we live. We discussed the double qualifying in the first sentence and concluded we don't know. For more information I suggest you log on to Web MD. Neil
