I actually meant Cav and the italian truffle-ers. But yah.
...or maybe they're part of the Mafia, Cav....they trust everyone, until there is a reason not to.
More likely they don't know of the danger and are, oh, let me guess, father and uncle and son, the son knowing about computers, trying to sell their truffles. Maybe, maybe not. Still, if the first is true (the maybe), one would hate to see them victimized.
From my reading I see the mafia (etc) foot on italian life to be tremendous in at least some places, but not all encompassing at all. Many people are not all so far away from the land, which I think of myself as a good thing. Since I first went there, computer savvy has zoomed up. Still, I wouldn't count that these people sending Cav open banking info are scamming. I think they just don't know not.
I've looked once in a while at batches of italian sites for things, e.g., pancetta, or somesuch, and find many of the sites that come up are quite family oriented, quiet little sites.
I'm sure you are right Osso. So many trusting people out there... and just as many wicked people trying to take advantage them.
I was only joking about the Mafia
I'm pretty sure I deleted the e-mails from the truffle company as it was well over a year ago.
do people really fall for this
I get that same message a lot and one that boast I' can claim a 7 or 10 million dollar estate left on deposit in africa by some guy that died in a plane crash and had no surviving heirs. is there a place to foward and report these scams?
