In the following sentence, is the correct word provision or provisioning?

"This enables users to better evaluate the performance of staff during review periods, and also enables better provision of staff for scheduling purposes."

I would use provisioning in this sentence.

On the contrary, I would use provision.

I agree with Contrex. Provision as a verb means to provide necessary items to someone (food, water, equipment, etc.). The sense of the sentence is not that anything will be provided to the staff--rather, it is providing staff for scheduling needs..
