Looks like a relatively even spread to me. Interesting. (I'm one of the under-30 younguns.) Interesting to know everyone's approximate age ranges.
Steissd, most college students are still in that second decade and are mature enough to participate in this forum. I believe that some high school students are mature enough as well.

How old are college students? Are not they in their early 20s?

OK, but I meant average age. At age of 18 people graduate from high school, then spend 2.5-3 years in the army, so average college newbie must be around 21.

Here in the US most people that attend college full time go straight out of high school. We don't have compulsory military service. My daughter is a college freshman (1st year) at age 18. She turned 18 a week before her first college class.

Ah, OK, I really did not take into consideration that there was no compulsory army service in the USA/UK/Australia/New Zealand. I just took an average age of the Israeli colleges' freshmen as a reference point.

I attended undergraduate school from ages 17 - 21. (I was slightly younger than average, but of a pretty normal college age in the USA.) I worked for a few years, then simultaneously worked and attended graduate school, then just worked, and now I am in a professional program (Culinary.)

My mother graduated from college (undergraduate) the same year I did, at the age of 47. I think she had a lot more to be proud of than I did.

I entered college on my 18th birthday, and my mother finished her Masters 3 years later...funny how that works sometimes.
Agree with you mc...lots to be proud of on their part thats for sure.

I'm so proud of my Mom!

She actually graduated five days before I did. That day will live in infamy, because we lost power (and therefore water) in the house that morning. Alarms didn't go off, hair went unwashed, coffee was made on the barbecue out back out of the bottled-water reserves in the pantry. On top of all that, it was pouring down rain all day, and shoes and stockings and dresses were completely ruined.

Apart from all that, the day went off without a hitch. One of the proudest days of my life, matter of fact. After graduating from Vassar with honors and Phi Beta Kappa and so forth, my mother went on to get a Master's Degree and become a high school English teacher. And she's really getting through to these kids. They love her.

So proud.

^-^
Very Happy
