Which sentence is correct?
My colleague insisted we visit the ashrams before we left India.
My colleague insisted we visited the ashrams before we left India.
My colleague insisted we go visit the ashrams before we left India.
My colleague insisted we go to visit the ashrams before we left India.

All are "correct".

I like the first one best.
I like the third one least.
