A tract of land is square and is to be enclosed with a three rail fence (each section has three rails- top, middle, bottom). Each rail is 12 feet in length. The number of acres in the tract is equal to the total number of single rails in the entire fence. Calculate number of acres in the tract. Thanks.

@Randy Dandy,
1 ACRE =4,840 x 9 sq ft
Let number of rails(or acres) be n.
Then (12 x 0.25 x n/3) ft. is the length of one side.
So 4840 x 9 n = (12 x 0.25 x n/3 )^2
Solve for n.
