When I receive spam on AOL, I click Report Spam. Why do I continue to get spam from the same e-mail address?

@gollum,
Because AOL is not sincerely interested in pursuing spammers. That pursuit and effort expended would interfere with their profit margin, bottom line.

@ossobuco,
I don't think I know anyone with an AOL email account, I didn't even know they were still around.

@jcboy,
My ex used it forever, which was odd, as he was an early internet person. Well, not so odd, as it was used for his job and he didn't want to ruffle waters. I think some company combined with them (huff post? that may be my imagination).

I'm on AOL and think the useless Spam button is just window dressing by AOL to make us think they care.
