@sophocles,
The only one I can come up with turns a boys name into a girls:

Ian = Jan

ian = jan

I and J, i and j, are the only letters I can make work in both uppercase and lowercase letters....

Thought of some other letters that will work:

O = Q

C = O

Hmmmm......

@boomerang,
Capital F can become an E
Capital T can become an I

Intriguing question!

@sophocles,
But those letters don't work in lower case formats.

I thought about turning V into W, that works in both cases but it isn't a single stroke of the pen.

C = G; c = g could be make to work.

@PUNKEY,
I feel like I'm on "Family Feud" -- clapping and yelling "good answer!".

That's a good answer, Punkey.

@boomerang,
Both letters do not have to be in lower and upper case!

Really? It doesn't say usual upper or lower case format.

@boomerang,
Apologies I should re phrase the question. Which girls name, in usual upper and lower case format, can become a boys name with one short stroke of a pen?
