100 places you should visit before you die.

I'm at 5/100. Not precisely impressive, but I thought it would be fun if people posted their "score".

Nice. You took the lead straight off. Let's see now if there are any contenders. Smile

@Cyracuz,
I am at 10. This isn't too impressive because several of them are within a 6 hour drive of my house.

oops... make that 11 (I forgot the White House) last review... 12 (I skipped the Empire State Building while I was looking for Petra).

40 - I've been to a lot of the European and North American sites -haven't been to the Asian and South American sites at all although I just got word that I may get to go on a South American walking tour in May, so I'll increase my count then.

@Cyracuz,
Measly 5/100. Does seeing the Statue of Liberty on the Staten Island Ferry count? If it does then I have 6/100.

@tsarstepan,
I say it counts.

I was inside the statue heading for the top. Fuggedaboutit.

@Roberta,
I was outside the Empire State Building several times, but never inside, much less up on the top. I decided it counted. Lived in NYC a year, and never saw the Statue of Liberty. Besides, what I was interested in at that time was Macy's toy section, the Woolworth 5 & 10, the ice skating going on at Rockefeller Center, and all the pretty ships docked along the Hudson.

@Cyracuz,
13, I got Winchester Cathedral right at the end, that's only 14 miles north. If I cheat and include the Statue of Liberty and Disneyland both in Paris it goes up to 15.

aidan still holds the record.
I hope Cicerone Imposter joins in. He's always traveling all over, and I'd be curious to hear how many of these places he's been to.

@Cyracuz,
He's probably travelling right now.

In about six months, when he returns from upper Patagonia or somewhere equally obscure, he'll revive this thread and answer in the upper 70's, I'll bet.

@Lordyaswas,
If you ever plan a trip to San Francisco (area), let me know. I'd be more than happy to show you around Northern California.

@cicerone imposter,
I've been to 81 of those places on the list.

I'm now working on my Rhine and Mosel cruise which I took in Oct-Nov, but have finished my most recent cruise on the Danube.
