I use Zillow all the time to see the value of our home because it changes so frequently. They base it on recent sales in our area, so I assume it's pretty accurate. I usually multiply the sq ft value times the sq ft of our home. I understand it's only an estimate, because we've upgraded our home from top to bottom. Even anchored rafters to the foundation with metal plates many decades ago (earthquake country), remodeled kitchen and bathrooms, new roof, new fence, new driveway, yadda yadda....
