The first time I heard the Beatles was on a jukebox in a club in Japan. The song was Kansas City. But I thought I was hearing Little Richard, because it sounded so much like this record.

Here's one my old Nan used to get up and sing to every Christmas, after one or two halves of guinness.

I've seen Eric Clapton live in 1964 ... if someone had told me, I would see him 40, 48 years later again ...
(I got the ticket partly paid by my English guest-parents ... because I'd been so disappointed the year before of getting no ticket for the Beatles ... though they played two shows a night for six days in the Gaumont Cinema, back in August 1963.)
That's wonderful. The Yardbirds were particularly good when Clapton played guitar for them.

Four years later I saw them with Jimmy Page as The New Yardbirds.
