@edgarblythe,
One of my fave Teresa Brewer songs (though not a R&R song by any means..more of a rag-time pop song):

Thanks, everyone . . . keep up the good work . . .

Buddy Holly had a posthumous hit with this song, originally by Chuck Berry . . . this is his version . . .

"The Cowboy's Lament," otherwise known as "The Streets of Laredo," has been recorded many, many times. Here's the Marty Robbins version, which has probably been the most successful . . .

@Setanta,
BTW, one of the finest singing voices, IMHO. He paints a vivid picture worthy of being considered a great story-teller.

'Tell Laura I love Her' by Paul Peterson (not Jeff of The Donna Reed Show). You gotta love this pure early '60s schmaltz.

'Unforgettable' by Nat King Cole (his solo version). I love his voice and nothing is more evocative of those times to me than hearing this song and most of his hits.

A bit of a departure here...Edward R. Morrow's Julie London documentary. She was the uncommonly beautiful singer of Cry Me a River., You'd Be So Nice To Come Home To...no other versions touch those songs...a singer's singer. A true original ... pop music's vamp - an American beauty,. BTW, this is a classic example of how Hollywood and media didn't know how to market a natural talent and true beauty:

In a yearly poll on one local oldies radio station, this song came in on top every time. Sadly, the station is no longer with us -
