Help choosing Blonde to match my skin tone.

I love my hair the colour it is now but it fades crazy fast and bleeds everywhere, I was thinking of going blonde. I went blonde once when I was sixteen and the shade didn't suit me. I've been researching and there are sooo many choices, platinum, vanilla, caramel, ash, bronde, strawberry, etc and in light, medium and dark tones. I just want to go into the salon with some type of starting point and am feeling overwhelmed right now lol.
