Roll out the barrel.
@edgarblythe,
Sending along some pretzels -
and some bruschetta to tide you over..
Oh my! What a surprise. Thanks, you guys. I'm enjoying a quiet celebration. Friends are calling whom I've not talked with in years. They're survivors ... just like all of us here. Amazing how us old farts just keep on keeping on.
On Monday, I'm having some needed dental work (my niece is treating me to the financing of it). I can't wait! At least it's something that can wait 'til Monday. Bless her.
Anyhow, life's not so bad. Went out for PF Chang's last night with a local friend (gotta love those gift cards). Happy hour and a luscious meal.
Dodged the daily 5-6pm rain-thunderstorm.
And here are a few appetisers and snacks to get it off to a good start!
@vonny,
Save room for some poached wild salmon (this photo from a restaurant in Mendicino)
You all nailed my weaknesses...those are all my faves (especially salmon). You guys/gals must be psychics.
Happy birthday there Senor Ragman.
May there be plenty more!
mmmm, you need a little salad..
Til lykke with a fishplatter from Denmark
With such a big plate of fish you sure need a couple of snaps
Grattis på födelsedagen
A suite at Claridges in London
Wow, you got a lottta fancy shmancy stuff. But you gotta have a cake--chocolate. Light the candles. Make a wish. Blow out the candles. May your wish come true.
HB, kid.
@Roberta,
Todá rabá, (“thank you very much”).
Happy Belated, RMan.
Hope it was a great day!
@JPB,
Thanks all. My online community friends have put a smile on my face. Now the world wonders what I'm up to.
