JVC Gr-D30 Digital Cameria

I recently purchased a JVC GR-D30 cameria and I'm running windows XP. I seem to be having problems with Windows seeing the cameria. I have a 4 pin to 6 pin connection throuth the firewire. Any idea's as to what could be causing this problem. Drivers ? I have no problem with my still cameria and XP.
