Boston Terrier's Medical Problems

Is it true that Boston Terriers have a very high incidence of kidney disease? I ask this question, since I'm interested in getting a Boston Terrier puppy.

Miller- I din't know about kidney disease, but Boston Terriers are wonderful little dogs. I had one when I was a teenager, and I adored him. They are very bright, friendly, and feisty.You can roughhouse with them like you could with a heavier dog, and they love it.

The only thing that I DO know, is that Boston Terriers, with their short stop (the distance between their heads and end of nose) tend to snort and .................er, pass gas a lot.

That was mentioned in the article that I cited. In fact, I had the opposite experience. My Boston was housebroken from the getgo. I think that it is a matter of getting your puppy from a good breeder.
