Okay so about 3 years ago I got my hair done and it turned out black which is not what I wanted. But I lived with it for a year. Then I got the color stripped out of my hair, but it was still darker then my natural. It's grown out but now its darker at the bottom so it's like a light to dark ombré instead of dark to light. So, when I dye my hair, it always ends up darker at the ends. How can I get my hair color one color?! I have like a dirty blonde natural color. I want like a brown. Light chocolate brown. But it always ends up darker at the bottom. PLEASE HELP.

Your ends are fried and overly porous, so they absorb every color you put on.

Solution?? Cut off the ends.

@PUNKEY,
Or dye the remainder a similar color and call it ombre.
