No kidding?...... I always really liked his lyrics......

'The Sisters Of Mercy'......

Yes you who must leave everything that you cannot control.
It begins with your family, but soon it comes around to your soul.

...edgar, you get to ask the next question....

Hi edgar..... not to worry..... I'm not supposed to be playing during working hours, either!!

I found some interesting articles about Ron Goodwin. One said that he was famous for the soundtracks to the Miss Marple movies, and lots of other movies.

I think the answer is... "Limelight"????

(which was on the charts for 23 weeks in 1953, from the Charlie Chaplin movie "Limelight")

New Question.....

here's the lyrics.....

Wish I was an English muffin
'Bout to make the most out of a toaster.
I'd ease myself down, comin' up brown.
I prefer boysenberry more than any ordinary jam.
I'm a "Citizens for Boysenberry Jam" fan.

.......name that tune.......

In 1957 or 58 Ron Goodwin's recording of SWINGIN' SWEETHEARTS stayed high on the charts for a good run. I did not know then he wrote for films, but now I understand the flip side of Swingin'. It was THE RIDE OF THE HEADLESS HORSEMAN.

Hmmmm....

OK....from the same TV show: Junior Samples used to provide a telephone number for what we would call today infomercials...this same number also became (much later; more recently) the name for an alt-country band.

What's the number?
