How to save tv program and burn that on dvd-R?

I tryed to do something like this with a program called MythTV. It is a program for Linux. I'm not sure how familiar you are with Linux but if you know some basic commands, you can install it. I used Red Hat 9 (the last FREE Red Hat Linux Verison). You can find more information about MythTV here:
