If you met an accident and cut vein, the blood would flow out in an oozing manner. How will blood flow out in case an artery is cut?

and it would cyclically spurt as each heartbeat and artery muscle contracts.
If you cut your femoral artery you would drain of blood in less than 2 minutes.
