Really loved this guy. He had a wonderful interpretive ability, and very often covered songs in a manner superior to the original.

Also a very unique guitar style relying on massive thumbs.

IT was so hard, back in '71, when we lost Janis and Jimi and Jim. Now the other luminaries of that era are falling to old age. May he rest in peace, and never be fortgotten.

This news really stopped me in my place when I heard this as I was coming in the door after a doctor's appointment.

Another big piece of my teen years has passed...

I guess I really am starting to get old.... Sad
