The Thatcher

To dare to believe in better; not mediocrity nor demise
Singular determination borne of discipline and insight
This destiny to face down the orthodox hypocrisy
Suffer the patronising of those who would put her in place
Yet know the people, their fear, hope and design

Determined to mend where chaos reigns
Believe that their aspiration is the true course
Never to yield to selfish interest
Through sacrifice and opposition
To bring summer to the winter of this discontent
