@compuwiz-mark,
												Quote:1) Does counting sheep help you fall asleep at night?
 I count but not sheep. According to Patrick in a recent episode, one counts breaths, but only to a count of two: Inhale, "one," exhale, "two"; tho after some practice at this one might consider counting to, say, four. Extending this method one might use A, B; Mon., Tue; Jan., Feb; He, She
….then mixing or alternating in various ways. For instance one might employ a basecount of three, the third in a pause between breaths: He, She, It
Quote:2) do you count out loud or in your head?
 Latter. I'd suppose the former counterproductive
Quote:3) Do you actually visualize the sheep in your mind as you count?
 Not applicable in my case but I'd suppose moving images might have a contrary effect. However controversial, as Tsar says, "Why count sheep if you don't try to visualize them."
Quote:4) How old are you?
 Eighty-two (I think)
Former (I think)
