I have an original old canvas painting from the 50's or 60's. It appears to be an Asian town with Japanese words/characters on some of the buildings. It is signed "FLORENCE" in caps in the bottom right corner, and "CT" in the bottom left. I have looked everywhere (ebay, google images, google search) and have no idea. I appreciate any help. I at least want to know the name of the artist.
Thank you so much!!!
@cm1319,
Post a picture (it will need to be hosted on Image Shack or Photo Bucket).
@cm1319,
It was painted in Florence Connecticut, a veritable hotspot of the Connecticut Plein AIr Impressionists.
Its lovely, where ya going to hang it?
@cm1319,
Thanks for posting the photos.
@ossobuco,
You're welcome. Thank you for any info.
@cm1319,
Don't have info myself, am sort of curious. Good luck.
@cm1319,
I found a similar painting by FLORENCE with no CT in the corner.
This is a traditional painting of an old Hong Kong street scene - painted by many and I don't think it's very valuable.
