too often in genre films the creator seems gone and only the audience is present, to be attacked for its bad taste and worst politics for even appreciating this debased art.
what does this sentence mean?
I don't know but it sounds like something a bored film critic would write.
@glitterbag,
Very good, glitterbag. The sentence is, essentially, meaningless. All it tells you is that the author didn't like the movie.
@merlin1990,
I'm guessing
Too often in a stylized film the author, writer, or director seems to have abandoned any sort of coherence, attracting only a certain sort of audience owing to its bad taste and probably demonstrating even in its political leanings a cause for deprecation

Come on, Merry, don't tell us the old super sleuth has lost his touch.
@dalehileman,
I didn't realize you were a film critic. What is your opinion of David Lynch's "Mullholand Drive"? I have a theory, would like to hear yours, por favor.

I don't think Dale is, GB, but he seems to have a better handle on language than you and Merry.

Why thank you JTT, again you've made my entire day
