@eurocelticyankee,
There is a fella putting some kind of cover/screen on the windows at the Temple Bar. Interesting to watch him at work.

Things move along at a kind of rumble til a few girls fall out of the bar and then there's a bit of shrieking.

Earlier, a couple came out, talked, exchanged mobile #'s and went back in. hmmmmmm

Will I taste some Irishness? I know Arby's has curly fries, and they're made from potatoes. So no.

I don't have much luck inducing a2kers to check something on the New Yorker site (see my recent http://able2know.org/topic/210564-1). Just like that one, I don't want to ruin the read by using only a clip of the article.
In this case, with the article below, it's an account of an elder person taking his daughter to Ireland because he wants to relive hearing the talk of the irish, the wit, the descriptions, and to show her a place he loved 40 years before.
This is a good writer... he was a former editor in chief at Random House.
I'm going to try to buy his book when it comes out.

The Toronto parade is about to start. We're skipping it this year. Don't want to leave the old dogs home alone if we can help it.

others have been waiting for a while
